Get ready to explore the best of the Treasure Valley!

    1. Float the Boise River. Click here for parking and rental information, river conditions, as well as other float FAQs.
    2. See the murals at Freak Alley Gallery located between Bannock and Idaho and 8th and 9th streets in downtown Boise. 
    3. Visit the Idaho Capitol Building. Open to the public Monday through Saturday, 9 am – 5 pm. Guided tours and self tours are available.
    4. Tour the Old Idaho Penitentiary, built in 1870 and housed inmates for 101 years.
    5. Indulge in a sweet treat at Lovejoy’s Real Ice Cream in Meridian. They serve cones, ice cream flights, shakes, sundaes and ice cream paninis. 
    6. Spend a few hours at Zoo Boise in Julia Davis Park. Attend one of the Zoo Chats (included with your admission) where you can learn all about different animals at the zoo with a member of the Animal Care team.
    7. Rent Lime e-scooters and e-bikes in Boise. Check here for pricing and available locations.
    8. Check out the view from the top of Camel’s Back Park. You’ll also find tennis courts, a playground, picnic tables, sand volleyball court, and an outdoor gym.
    9. Stroll around a farmers market. Boise Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from April through October, 9 am – 1 pm. Capital City Public Market is open on Saturdays from April through December, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm. Nampa Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from April through November, 9 am – 1:30 pm. Eagle Saturday Market is open on Saturdays from May through October, 9 am – 2 pm.
    10. Run, walk or bike on the 25 miles of the Boise River Greenbelt. There are several access points to the Greenbelt, check here for a map and parking information.
    11. Have some fun in the sun at Roaring Springs Waterpark in Meridian. Enjoy the waterslides, wave pool, lazy river and water playground. Cabana rentals, as well as food and drinks are available for purchase.
    12. The Village at Meridian has a little something for everyone. Shop, eat, see a movie, or watch the water fountain/music/light show that happens every hour.
    13. Walk around the Boise Train Depot, built in 1925 for the Union Pacific railroad. The depot is no longer in service but has beautiful gardens and water features, as well as a stunning view of downtown Boise, perfect for photo ops.
    14. Drive up to Bogus Basin. Skiing, snowboarding, tubing, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing in the winter. Hiking, biking, ropes course, and mountain coaster in the summer.
    15. Visit the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial located at 770 S 8th St in Boise.
    16. Try the handcrafted pizzas at Wylder that use a 50 year old sourdough starter for the base of their pizza dough.
    17. Have some family fun at Big Al’s in Meridian, bowling and playing arcade games.
    18. Get out and play at the 64-acre Discovery Park. Features include a playground, splash pad, zip lines, roller slides, climbing wall, pickleball courts, tennis courts, bocce ball courts, basketball courts, and a 40-yard dash challenge.
    19. Take the kids to the Children’s Museum of Idaho to enjoy interactive, hands-on exhibits that make learning fun.
    20. Play some retro arcade games at Jeremy’s Downtown Arcade on 12th St in downtown Nampa. Jeremy’s houses almost 70 arcade games from the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s. Your $5 admission gives you unlimited game play.

    22. Reserve a night at The Riverside Hotel for a relaxing staycation. Amenities include a heated, outdoor, saltwater pool, indoor pool and splash pad, fitness center, Greenbelt access, and on-site restaurant.
    23. Enjoy delicious French pastries at Janjou Patisserie. Check out their menu here to see all they have to offer to start your day in the most scrumptious way.
    24. Experience a piece of history with a day trip to Idaho City. Start here to begin planning your itinerary to this former mining hotspot. Any trip to Idaho City wouldn’t be complete without a soak in the natural hot springs at The Springs.
    25. Find your inner pilot in the 40,000 square feet of planes and artifacts at the  Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa.
    26. Star gaze at the Bruneau Dunes State Park Observatory Friday and Saturday evenings from April through October. Click here for more information.

    28. Take the family to the Western Idaho Fair, held in August every year. Carnival rides, food vendors, and concerts, as well as 4-H and FFA exhibitions – something for everyone!
    29. Experience the beauty of nature at the Idaho Botanical Garden. Fifteen acres of gardens to stroll through. There’s also concerts in the summertime and a magical Christmas light display open from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve.
    30. Learn more about underwater creatures at Aquarium of Boise, with 35,000 gallons of saltwater and over 250 different species of animals.
